The Ropewalk is a poem about a man that works at a rope factory. One day while he is at work he becomes very bored with the work and begins to imagine many things. All the things that he imagines are the many different things that the rope he is making is helpful for. Things such as swings, reins for horses, gallows, and bell pulls. The one image that really stood out to me was when he imagined the woman bringing water up from a well and she saw her face in the crystal clear water. This poem had things that classified it as a Romantic poem such as all the imagery.
