Before I started reading this book I kinda had a feel of how it was going to start out because Ive read many books by Nicholas Sparks and they all started out the same way. It starts with either a male or a female that has been through some kind of tragedy. What Ive read so far has pulled me so deeply into this book that I could read for days.
The story started with a man named Miles whos wife had been a victim of a hit and run accident. The two had a son, Jonah, who is a very intellegent little boy in the second grade. Miles is a police officer in the small town of New Bern, North Carolina. Jonahs second grade teacher Sarah called for a conference with Miles regarding Jonahs work.
