Franklin? A Rationalist?

Benjamin Franklin did many things in his life that makes him a very well known Rationalist. One of the main things he did that stuck out to me was the fact that he was will to leave his home when he was only 17 years old to move to a larger city by himself. When he moved to the city he got a job at a printers. Working at the printers he became interested in how things came together and what they benefited and he wanted to know why? From that time forward Franklin was bound and determined to find the explaination for why everything happened. Franklin wanted the scientific reason why things happened. He didnt believe that everything happened "just because God wanted it to."
